oh, and then there's "base-ball"

Accidentally saw a baseball game sometime last week. Turns out it was the second-last Yankees playoff game.

I don't watch sports, except for le Tour de France. But, since it was the Yanks, I stayed until the end. I had only come in for supper, but hey, when I found out that it was the playoffs I had to stay.

When I found out what night the final game the Yanks would play, I made my way out to see it. I knew I wouldn't watch it at home. Never, ever watch that kind of stuff at home.

Interesting night. Good thing I didn't have to work the next day, as the game went to the 11th inning.

At the end, the fans of the losers rapidly filed out. The Yankee fans remained for a while to celebrate in their own reserved way. As for me (not being much of a sports fan) I merely climbed atop a pair of bar stools and bellowed at the top of my lungs like a Klingon warrior. Several times. (It's good to be the King.)

I expect the Marlins to succumb like the sea-borne vermin that they are. The Yankees own the Series. Even I know that.
