game 4, and I'm actually watching it at home

background entertainment: well, duh! But, a James Brown CD during the commercials

I tuned in while channel-surfing (something I rarely do, at least this early in the evening), before the Marlins had made their first run. They already had two outs.

By the end of the inning Clemens was looking either tired or frustrated; perhaps he was choking. Cabrera's homer didn't help matters, as it brought in another runner. The fact is that Clemens was throwing too many balls by the end of the first inning.

Second inning: Matsui safe at first, and just in time by the strike count - but the instant replay shows that he was technically out by a matter of a couple of inches.

Posada at bat, hits a short single: the bases are loaded! That three-run first inning for the Marlins really pissed off the Yanks.

Three balls and one strike: the Marlins' coach is getting upset. Foul ball. Argh! Strikeout for Garcia. Boone is up. One foul, then a popup out, allowing a run in and a base advance all around.

Clemens is up. Short hit and an out, the inning is over; but the game has only begun.

Signing off for now. I have to find the bass line for "Cold Sweat" now. Been listening to James Brown for a couple of days, and that tune keeps running through my head.
