it's special counsel time for the great pretender

even his Daddy said that leakers are "our greatest traitors"

The FBI has begun a "serious" investigation into the case of Joseph Wilson's wife. Her cover was blown by Administration sources; she is a CIA operative. That's a crime, you know. Not being a CIA operative, but blowing an operative's cover. A Federal crime. Serious stuff. Way more serious than lying about a blow job, even under oath.

It's about time somebody started investigating the shenanigans (an extremely mild word, considering) that have been going on in this administration since before the election was even decided way back in the salad days of 2000.

Unfortunately George Tenet has already sold his soul. He did that when he rolled over for BushCo on the IraqGate affair. Bad move, GT. You lost a lot of credibility there, but I'm sure that Dubya and his henchmen made you a nice offer in return. For example, "you get to keep you job, and besides, we won't smear you all aver the conservative press. Just play ball."

No, a Special Counsel is definitely called for here. Someone absolutely impartial, or at least absolutely ruthless. Maybe Ken Starr is available, for the right price?

Meanwhile, the Homeland Security program is working so well, isn't it? What with our illustrious "Leader" foisting so much of the cost off on the States and their subordinate municipalities - who can't afford to foot the bill themselves.

Yes, Homeland Security is working so well that while I'm waiting for a pizza to be delivered this evening, I'm wearing a loaded Beretta 9mm in a shoulder holster. There have been two home invasion robberies in my neighborhood in the last two weeks. No arrests. Fortunately the intruders have been carrying a .22, so I've got them outgunned, and I'm guessing that they aren't as proficient with a firearm as I am. I grew up with firearms. They are extensions of my limbs, and this Beretta is oh-so-sweet. Point and shoot.

Make my day, punk.
