"We, The People of the United States, ..."

Bob Schulz's Petition of Redress number three is a fascinating document.

I do not agree with his opinions regarding withholding income tax payments to the IRS until the grievances he outlines are addressed, but he makes a number of valid points.

Most people would consider me to be a Liberal, with a capital "L," but I do not blindly follow the so-called Liberal pack. For example, this is my idea of Homeland Security:

Sure, I'm a member of the ACLU. I have the "card" to prove it, and I send them money every month.

I'm also a member of the National Rifle Association, with a corresponding card. They are both standing up for my rights.

I am both sorry and sad to say that neither our President nor our Attorney General - who is charged with that very duty - is doing so. On the contrary, both of them are trying their very best to eliminate our rights in order to preserve our "freedom."

That's like throwing water on a fire to make it burn brighter. It just doesn't work, and anybody with any knowledge of how fire works will tell you so. Well, anybody with any knowledge of freedom will tell you that taking it away does not increase it.
