Pontiac's Grand Am: one hot car

At Tallahassee's "Governor's Square Mall" today, I just missed seeing a car fire. I did get to see the fire department pry open the hood with crowbars and spray down the engine compartment, but by then the fire seemed to be out. The parking lot was full of smoke. Yes, it was a Pontiac Grand Am. One hot car!

I went to Barnes & Noble to pick up a few Christmas cards to put with the gifts I had already bought, and ended up spending $100. I never walk out of that store with just the thing I went in for. It's like walking into a grocery store with the munchies. I have 24 books right now that I haven't read yet, because when I walk into Barnes and Noble or Border's I'm like a kid in a candy store.
