my first day of "day labor"

it seems too much like work, considering the pay

My first day of "day labor" consisted of sweeping out the mess left by housing contractors. I knew I should have worn shorts!

Needless to say, I was in bad need of a shower when I got home. At least I got paid at the end of the day. Now I have smokes, laundry detergent and some change for the buses.

Today I'm supposed to be cleaning up the FSU (Florida State) Civic Center. That should be a mess, but I may find some money along the way.
